Project Fear was more about how the damage would happen immediately: house prices would collapse, millions of jobs would move to the EU, the financial market in London would move en masse to Paris and, almost as an after thought, over the medium to long term the UK economy would be worse off.

I voted to remain, I believed then and still believe now that Brexit was a bad economic decision but the remain campaign lost because it was crass, the majority of voters simply did not believe most of the doomsday scenarios the remain campaign painted.

And of course most of the doomsday scenarios did not come true.  What has happened is that the after thought prediction of Project Fear, which wasn't alarmist enough to feature prominently in the campaign, that over time the UK would grow less quickly as it tries to adapt has come true.  Anyone with even a moderate understanding of economics and trade knew that was inevitable

As for the fact that BMW is opening up a factory in China, that is nothing to do with Brexit, companies open factories closer to major markets every month.  Oxford will still be making electric minis (which are very good if over priced).
