Whatvwas interesting with the pandemic and with Brexit was the complete lack of understanding that so many people had - probably most - was the way that industries and businesses were working. Staying overnight in Oxford you could see the machines moving around the floor presumably with components all night and also hearing deliveries to the plant on huge lorries arriving all night long. Components are made and delivered to businesses from all over. Stop or delay the deliveries and it causes problems and costs whether it is car components or face masks and protective gloves and aprons. |
