| Sorry for delay. Each GP practice should have a patient group as part of the GP contract which can offer advice to their practice about was is or is not working. At ours we have a committee of 8 and a mailgroup of 250. Shortage of GPs (a national problem) means that GPs need to makes sure the most urgent cases get appointments first. Even same day is possible. We (PG) feel the appointments technology is not very user friendly and the system not transparent/communicated well enough. Actual numbers seen do not seem worse than most other practices but feelings of patients very different. Which suggests it’s about communication. |
