Yes the lanes are being well used for the school run. Mums and Dads with cargo bikes for small kids or riding along with less small kids and a lot of older children biking independently to school. Having the next stage developed in Hammersmith and Fulham with continuity of the bidirectional through Goldhawk Road will help increase usage for school runs still more by extending the catchment area for a lane that is only 1km in length at the moment. Good news that the Council has announced resurfacing works will take place over two nights next week to lay the foundations for this next phase of implementation. Then it will be the transformation of the gyratory before the lane extends along Hammersmith Road to Olympia. Lobbying for closure of roads off Wellesley to CHR will help with the other end. |
