I just love it when Paul gets lost in his own rhetoric. Let's have a quick Central Park fact check: The crucial east-west transverses at 65th, 79th, 86th and 97th Streets, which run below the park and keep traffic flowing from one side of Manhattan to the other, will not be affected. Parks Department vehicles and emergency and police vehicles will be allowed access to the park. The new ban will cover the whole park, except for four transverse roadways that were built into the park’s original design to accommodate traffic. The closed roads are the so-called scenic roads that meandered around the periphery of the park. Now let's also mention Paul turning a blind eye to the revenue created by an existing car park accessed only from, get this, an access road. The park will benefit from that revenue. But he know's that. |
