Following on from Comedians who have us in stitches of laughter...(the topic of this thread?)... I'm still recovering from a serious interview that Billy Collolly gave recently about his coping with the thought of death knowing that he was deteriorating with Parkinson's Disease. He said that "we can't remember about anything before we were born"..and he believes that "we will be conscious of NOTHING when our life is ended" so he's not worried at all. The interview was published in The Times on 20th December 2020 and has really made me think hard. It seems to make sense as well..so listening to Dawkings and Hitchens is now compelling. I sought to look up some old Forum postings from Lawrence Truett in the past. It seems he has moved West to become an Estate Agent boss! Is one amused at that? PS: I'm tolerant but not too excited about dogs! |
