I have no problem with a cyclist crossing on a zebra crossing if they have dismounted. However it is illegal to cycle across for precisely the reason as indicated within this thread. The cyclist who doesn’t dismount is no doubt approaching quite quickly and may not give motorists time to stop. Any cyclist who crosses whilst still cycling should be afforded the courtesy of a warning by a long loud blast of the hooter! That quite often gives the arrogant morons a nice fright and quickening of the heartbeat. Such lawbreakers should consider the iconic words “Do you feel lucky? Make my day punk.“ |
