| I think the tolerance of large protest gatherings may also have contributed, as many of us said at the time. Many who attend protests are young, but they can catch the virus and incubate it, spread it to others young and old who can also incubate it, eventually some people have tests because they have symptoms which come out positive. That process can take many weeks. Plus the general unlocking, the eat out to help out, more people going into offices, on public transport etc. And as others have said, the lack of observance of masks, social distancing and hand hygiene of course. Not at all surprising. |
