It is possible that the real culprit here is a SatNav app. The driver wasn't on his regular route and was probably relying on it to guide him. You would assume National Express supply their fleet with SatNavs that incorporate weight and height restrictions so perhaps there was a fault. Easy to blame to drive but if he doesn't know the area and he is being told be the technology to go a particular way it is understandable that he did what he did. |
