To me a line has to be drawn somewhere.  I haven't read the actual detail of this story but from what I understand it relates to the ex-partner of his mother and dates back to before he was even born.

So the story has nothing to do with him whatsoever, but the gutter press (like the Sun and the Mail) published it, using his distant association with the story, to sell newspapers/make money.

That shouldn't be acceptable.  I am the first one to criticise many 'celebrities' (and that word needs redefining as seemingly almost anyone can be a 'celebrity' these days) who use the media to their benefit, because essentially any publicity is good publicity as it keeps them in the public eye, and the braindead zombie masses seem to lap up the likes of nobodies like Gemma Collins and so forth.

However, that is completely different to this 'story' and the notion that it comes with the territory of being famous simply shouldn't be right.  Brawling in the street in Bristol comes with the territory, what your mother's ex-partner did before you were born doesn't.
