| Loads of school kids used it on their daily commute along Chiswick High Rd. direct to Kensington/Brook Green area. It had capacity as it was a double decker. The loss has meant an added 30-40 min. Commute, dodgy bus changeovers at the terminus and single buses so full they just pass by the school bus stops. Ironically the 27 is now pretty much empty while the no. 9 and 190 over capacity and missing stops at peak. Result is you have to pay extra to use the tube if you can afford it (but overcrowded in mornings and not great for young kids) or drive! I guess if you can’t afford this you just suffer. The “consultation” was clear as to it’s need. |
