I see the problem. You were applying 'wet' to Stewart as a descriptor without political connotations. As in, that man is so sappy he is wet. Is that correct? I read your use of 'wet' to be in the form that used to describe tory wets - Geoffrey Howe et al. Therefore, if I have understood things correctly then I owe an apology. Sorry for misunderstanding and therefore being a bit rude to you. But if I've now understood then it is a bit funny. Funny that Stewart being ex-military and with oodles of tough experience is not sappy. But he is to the centre of his party so could, in political terms, be called wet. I do so hope that my new comprehension is correct. That would be worth a chortle. |
