It is a thoughtful article. Bear in mind too that The Spectator is owned by the Barclay brothers and is generally well to the right of centre. So far as I can see, the only good that might come from a Johnson premiership would be that he would be exposed for the political fraudster that he is. It is inconceivable that he will achieve anything more in negotiations with the 27 than did Theresa May, and perhaps eventually, when he admits defeat (which he will inevitably pass off as a glorious victory), the public will see the emperor has no clothes. |
