How long have we been letting off fireworks on New Years Eve?  My husband is convinced that he started the trend, saving a few from Firework Night many years ago, and that no one else was doing it at the time.  Having said that we now have grandchildren some of who are really frightened by the bangs so we no longer do it. Whilst I agree others have the right to do this perhaps a little patience on both sides is required and each should understand the others perspective. Is it really so difficult to understand why people with distressed animals and children find this a problem.
