Apparently a notification of demolition has been placed on the former site to our local hostelry, Pissaro's in Corney Reach. I can't believe the cynicism of the timing on this proposed and unwelcome change of use of this valuable community asset when most people are preoccupied with the upcoming festivities. It would appear that the owners of this site want to bulldoze through their plans to build more luxury flats on this prime riverside location. I know there is a groundswell of opposition to this development and only hope it gathers some momentum over the next few weeks to get Hounslow Council to see reason and disallow planning consent.
