I have four dustbins in front of my house - tiny front garden - the bins are full and fill it. Green boxes are on the path up to the house as there is no other room for them. If/when wheelie bins come in,in Ealing as far as I am concerned it is up to the council to sort out the - at the moment - completely filled site. I paid for two of the metal dustbins so will move those into the back garden just in case the council decides they might want to appropriate and sell them. The black bins I inherited are up to the council, they will be left in the front garden. If there is no room for them and the wheelie bins as I suspect that is a council decision. All other counci issues are up to them, including because of my back problem I can't lift any rubbish more than a couple of pounds, so the new, taller recycling bills will probably have some 20 light sacks per week from me, 40 if monthly deliveries, as it is much easier for the physically challenged to put waste into lower recycling bins. Happy bin men delving into that lot - not! |
