I think the idea of workers subsidising other workers is ludricrous and the onus should be on employers to pay a decent, legally enforcable living wage.The Tories brought this idea in in the 90's and called it Family Income Supplement and New Labour tinkered with it and called it Tax Credits.It's time big business paid a living wage. I can understand small concerns needing some kind of help, but Tesco, Asda etc. should stump up.
