"...simply saying, 'We'd do things differently....doesn't solve the problem." Indeed. I was listening to an SNP MP on the radio yesterday saying that, while the UK government should be criticised for not doing anything about the looming steel industry job losses over the past few months, it was far too soon to expect the Scottish government to have a plan in place to help. The interviewer tried to point out the inconsistency of this argument but it didn't seem to sink in. Party political point-scoring does not help when trying to find a viable way to keep British manufacturing industry in business. |
