.. one of the finest pieces of genuine travel writing ever to appear on this forum.  Slightly more Mills & Boon than Ernest Hemingway - but rich nonetheless with deep and meaningful insight.  The sort of stuff our demanding readers crave..

I particularly admired  :-  “Decide exactly the kind of holiday you want..then do your homework” ..  What a marvellous piece of experienced advice.

Also her rich local knowledge expressed so eloquently in phrases like - “great food in local supermarkets” -

essential reading for all our intrepid W4 travellers...
