I'm just amazed at how many of the cats I feed are diagnosed as obese and in need of losing weight, and are being put on anti-obesity diets. I'm feeding a little puss at the moment, and I do mean little, who is on this diet which, quite frankly, is bordering on starvation! There's nothing of her and she practically goes for my jugular vein when I enter the flat! I feel awful giving her so little food, but that's what I've been instructed to do, but I feel uneasy about it. I'm just wondering if this is a veterinary fad (and might just be filling their coffers a tad)? My last three cats lived to be nearly 22 and were just fed on bog standard Felix/Whiskas etc. None of this fancy stuff that seems to be recommended by most vets nowadays. I'd be interested to hear the comments of cat owners. I just feel its a bit of a rip off.
