| I haven't had this with a cat, but I did have it with my old German Shepherd dog.She too had been fine, out in the garden playing.She came indoors and was eating some snacky bits and she just collapsed.Tried to get up but couldn't.I tried to stand her up, but her legs wouldn't hold her.She didn't appear to be in pain, but looking at her eyes, she appeared to be terrified.We got her to the vet and they stood her up and folded her back paw over as she stood on the table.There was no response.She should have moved her paw back, but she couldn't.That confirmed the diagnosis that she had had a stroke.They managed to stabilise her but a few days later she had another, fatal stroke at home.(and now I am all teary remembering that night) |
