Agree with you, Peter Millman.  Economic migrants need to go home.  Real refugees should be welcomed and helped - including to understand our laws and culture and helped to integrate, which does not mean joining an enclave with people from their own country and sent to schools that only encourages their religion so in effect they have a microcosm of their own countries in the UK.  Helping people who have no idea about the UK to integrate is a long, hard road and I suspect that there is a huge lack of funding to do that which will have predicable consequences.  The issue is that there is a huge, huge grey area, which, depending where you draw the line, huge swathes of Asia and Africa as a start could be in.
