True but at least they aren't traumatised children arriving alone who have seen their family murdered and beheaded, suffering from broken bones, gangrene and everything else. I've just received another email from change.org. What the Doctors without Borders, nurses and volunteers are seeing in Calais is hard to witness. Desperate people in need of very urgent medical treatment. I'm still trying to get 75 teddies for tragedy to somewhere. Doctors and psychiatrists say that giving a smiling little teddy to traumatised children is making more difference than medicines. When they have lost everything, they have something to hold, keep and love. Save the Children tell me that they've stopped sending teddies because it's too expensive. I'm hoping to hear again from the Mothers Union soon. |
