I remember hearing a talk by the LBE Recycling Officer on how all textiles including holey socks can be recycled. Those I would certainly not put into a charity collection but would have put into the green box collection (in a carrier bag). However having seen the carrier bags being rifled though both prior and during collection I changed what I did. Perhaps a fundraiser for a particular charity will help you to take your clothing to a charity shop. There are also street recycling banks for clothing. I don't seem able to access the LBH map of these which is on the internet. |
