Cathy, Have you responded to one of the 'clothes for charity' plastic bags that come through the letter box? If so you may not be aware that some of these operations are commercial and not charitable. Read the envelope closely - you'll find that they say they will pay a percentage of profits to the charity. Of course, as in any business, it's quite easy to minimise profits. Search online using something like 'clothes collection charity scam' for more info. |
