Charity shops - although they would love as many donations as possible and lose more sales now that so many sell their best stuff online - do tend to have difficulty with space. I too would suggest just taking some at a time, trying to do it seasonally, and of course making it as easy for them as possible by making sure everything is clean and ready to hang on a rail. Alternatively sell your stuff online, host a Swishing Session, Yard Sale, Jumble Trail etc and give the proceeds to your chosen charity. Charities do need support as there have been many cuts in care services. It would be god if ALL schools had a second hand uniform shop - or method where worn uniform could be handed on to others within the school community. |
