| I grew up in the town of Hounslow from 1959 - 1987, moved away and then moved back to the Borough (Chiswick) in 1999. Hounslow, since those early days, has become very much of a dump in comparison, Chiswick however, has retained most of it's Bohemian Village like environment and atmosphere, and unlike many other urban areas, which also have a wide range of cultural, and social class residents, Chiswickians tend to respect each other more for who they are as individual human beings regardless of their historical background. I've lived here for over 16 years and have rarely seen any form of negativity towards others that many other urban areas experience. To ME Chiswick is a little piece of paradise on earth. |
