Www.gro.gov.uk is the website for ordering certificates, but this assumes you know the reference - they can search for you, but I think that costs more. I find the easiest starting point is the genealogy websites - ancestry and findmypast. You can search these for free at the National Archives at Kew, but I think you can also access them for free at Chiswick Library - it would be worth calling the library first to check that this is right. |
