So, in some parts of Chiswick (Glebe Estate) the bin men will only take refuse out of your wheelie bins - they won't take the black bags left on the pavement. A bit further away - Homefields area - we have a new bin contractor who (for elf and safety reasons) will not remove black sacks out of bins/wheelie bins - apparently it is bad for them. Instead the residents have been informed that all rubbish must be left in black sacks at the boundary of your property so they can collect before 7am. This means rubbish will, in many case be left out the night before to the delight of the foxes and rubbish will be all over the street. You couldn't make this up if you tried.. |
