I think the answer is to try and prevent them from going at all. As Claire rightly says once they arrive in an IS location there's no coming back. These young impressionable teenagers somehow need to be made aware that IS is a manufactured fantasy, and the reality has little to do with what they're being 'sold' on Social Media. And that's the other big problem - Social Media. How can it be controlled without it being an infringement on human rights? Maybe the answer is for UK Government to recruit Hackers so we can get an early start on IS? I don't know, but some initiatives have to be implemented by the Government, before many more youngsters are brainwashed into believing that IS is the answer. |
