I shall shortly be selling my father-in-law's car, since he is 97 and can no longer drive it.  It's years since I sold a car - probably back in the days of the Morris Minor.  I haven't a clue what paperwork is involved...I suspect that there is no longer such a thing as the log book? Can anyone please advise?

Also, having parked the car, some kind soul has punctured a tyre, using a screwdriver or similar - probably in the belief that he owns that particular stretch of road. Is it possible to get a tyre wall patched, and if so, where?

Thanks in advance.
