John Connelly is right and by adding factual information to the debate should be applauded. Alan - this is not about backward looking back biting concepts such as "shame on you" and other such negative ideas. The focus must be on devising a better electoral system for the future. The route forward is a Royal Commission or a similar body taking evidence from all interested parties and making evidence based recommendations. I am a Tory and I am not blaming UKIP voters for the result. After the Euro Referendum there will be little or no reason for anyone to vote UKIP. So the really interesting question is what will the close on 4m people who voted UKIP in 2015 do in 2020? |
