These trees were trashed in preparation for yet another overdevelopment on a totally unsuitable, tiny, and here, an island plot. In such a case the only justification your councillors can possibly offer is one of pure ignorance and greed. Tellingly the removal of these trees failed to attract any attention or protest from passers by or concerned locals. The developers' advertising hoardings, now fully exposed following the tree clearing, cynically attempt to sell their project as one being in harmony with a verdant eco wonderland. Maybe it's time to reevaluate the old estate agents sales pitch of a 'village-like' Chiswick. Time to bid a fond farewell to 'Forty Shades of Green' and steel yourself for 'Fifty Shades of Grey..........Concrete' ? |
