A bit of balance needed here maybe.

My perspective is that all the Green party’s policies are directed at two objectives:
- Controlling the levels of damage to our environment
- Reducing the gap between rich and poor
Unless substantial progress is made on both these objectives, and in a short time frame, the outcomes look to be pretty nasty - think accelerating climate change, and social unrest and conflict.
None of the other parties seem to be seriously addressing either of these objectives, almost the opposite.

For the Greens it’s hardly about winning seats (the possibilities seem to be in the range 0-3 MPs, probably 1) it’s about getting a large number of votes nationally to raise the profile of policies that do address these issues.
