| To my astonishment, O'Brien has appeared as a Newsnight presenter on a couple of occasions recently - pretty useless, but better than the vapid Evan Davies. Since Paxo left, the women, Emily Maitlis, Laura Kuenssberg and the admirable Kirsty Walke have done a sterling job of keeping the programme interesting and lively. For a male presenter, I think they should bring back Eddy Maire, one of the best presenters in broadcasting. As for O'Brien, don't like him much on the radio as he always sounds far too pleased with himself. |
