Cheers for the advice, Mary. Some positive developments actually. I requested a callback from the council parking services and got one within the hour. They were very helpful, and suggested that I apply for a parking permit online first. If the permit doesn't arrive within 21 days, which according to them is unlikely, then at that point I apply for a dispensation/temporary permit explaning that I'm waiting for the documentation to come from the DVLA. I was told that the original application is not cancelled and will go online as soon as the documents are received. So that would save me unnecessarily applying for a temporary permit, and also avoid the £15 new administration charge. Thanks again for the help/advice. |
