If I was travelling on a late-night tube in Central London, I would much rather there were staff around on the platform than shut away in ticket offices on the surface. Anyway, I note that you still haven't answered the question. So let's try another one - do you think that jobs should exist because they always have existed, and even when they effectively become non-jobs because very few people use the service, they should nevertheless be continued ? Because that is what you seem to be advocating. |
