That may be true but if so why not publish more data on the agency staff employed including the number, range of daily payment and the average daily rate? Without this the suspicion remains that some senior staff may be opting to switch from being on the payroll to being consultants because of possible tax advantages and it allows what they are actually paid to be kept from the public domain. |
