Ealing is offering a free collection of Christmas trees this year but only when there is a garden waste collection scheduled for your street so don't put trees out on normal rubbish days! "To help people dispose of real Christmas trees, a free collection service will be provided from Monday 29 December until Friday 30 January. Tree collections will follow the usual garden waste collection schedule. Tree trunks must not exceed 20cm in diameter and any trees taller than 6ft will need to be cut in two. Alternatively, you can recycle real Christmas trees at some of the borough’s parks and open spaces this January. A full list of these locations and the collection schedule is available on the council website." http://www.ealing.gov.uk/news/article/1143/christmas_refuse_and_recycling. From this link, you can find the garden waste collection dates for your street in January. |
