yes, i did write on here a few years back about Frontline becoming ineffective
my cat has been on Stronghold for some years
but i think my vet (Richmond Vets) may also now be changing to something more effective, as the same thing seems to be starting to happen as was with Frontline some time back

i will get more info when i am nexct at vets,
as this was mentioned only on the phone
when i phoned up re prescription
that they are now recommending something else

i had noticed that the Stronghold seemed to last only 3 weeks whereas before i was treating monthly
and before that i seem to recall it was a 6 weekly thing (can't reember if that was Frontline or Advocate)

i get a prescription(for 6 month plus a repeat,to make up a year)for one charge from my vet
and then purchase at Medivet
