Rob is correct. Over 90% of origination of sales for agents now comes from the internet which basically these days means Zoopla or Right Move and possibly in the Chiswick area being listed on this site. Buyers will find your property no matter what agent you are with provided it is listed there so there is no reason for high fees.

The main value added that an agent can bring beyond this is a bit of local knowledge which means you are always better off with a small independent where the staff will generally have spent longer in the area. Avoid the big chains like Barnard Marcus, Foxtons, Hamptons, KFH and Dexters as they rotate staff a lot and if someone is any good they'll be moved to an office with a higher turnover in another part of London.
