If people were actually worried about the real impact of immigration it would be the other way around" Far more relevantly I suspect that the immigrants around west London are not "taking jobs away" from the locals. I have no data to back this rather crude argument up except that west London is, I assume, somewhat better off in general than Clacton. I would also argue that some of this is also due to the immigrants but without taking jobs away from locals. Perhaps west Londoners have more (disposable?) income than Clactonians... |
