We are examining the sparse detail of he proposed cuts. We note that, We still have over 100 empty council houses. LBH pays the premium council tax rate on these. This administration still have dreams to become a dynamic trader. The in -house company is yet to make a profit. It's on -costs are off page so the net position is not shown in my view. Our former Leader said the company was to sell surplus flowers etc-we don't grow them any more. LBH continues to employ consultants. Latest spend 400k to check what buildings we own. Honest! The Civic Centre is 40% occupied. Only external tenant is the MP for Feltham. LBH spent millions on a prime site in central hounslow opening a meeting room entity run by a contractor. £20 million in S106 pot. Community groups and others cry out for funding. We still penalise those whose CPZ permit drops off the screen. Time wasting and costly. It costs LBH £45 to,appeal,to PATAS. Costs hundreds (paid to,a contractor) to tow away an overstaying car on a meter. Proportionate. Value? John |
