@ Steve Taylor The final salary pension scheme in local government was abolished in April 2014, only those employees close to retirement can still contribute to the final salary scheme. Local government employees pay contributions towards their pension - now up to 12.5% of salary, unlike some other parts of the public sector. Those who have really benefited from final salary schemes are those who have already retired and are today's pensioners. |
