I should add that the NHS is very vulnerable since the 2012 Health and Social Care act compels CCGs to seek private sector suppliers for NHS contracts IN PREFERENCE to existing NHS suppliers.... The door is wide open to US corporations (e.g. Hospital Corporation of America) and once they're in, they are there forever, however much of a cut-price shambles they inflict on NHS patients. Unless the contracts are drafted with draconian penalty clauses for shoddy work, it could the end of the NHS as a public service, UNLESS we insist on a specific exemption for the NHS from TTIP. And education also: US-style education does not appeal.
