If the pub wants to make money, it helps if it is filled with people, beautiful or not.

Any time I visited the Duchess of Cambridge, and on my single visit to the Express since the refurb, they were pretty empty, despite the large and varied collection of beers.  I'll give a new pub a number of goes but only up to a point.

Thats why I think that simply getting a bunch of beers and hoping there are enough old blokes around is not a recipe for success.  Particularly in an off the beaten track location the pub needs to work hard at attracting enough punters.
