'A fabrication'? Why would he make something like that up? The poor chap just wants some advice. Huskies may not be an obvious choice for a dog if you live in London, and if I were a breeder I would want to know chapter and verse about the person who was buying a Husky pup including about their lifestyle, but there are so many Huskies in rescue now, as people seem not to realise that cute pup will grow into a big, strong dog one day that they give them up to rescues to rehome, so if someone has rescued one, well done to them, no matter where they live as long as they can look after it properly. But although most Huskies are very nice natured, they do seem to require some extra attention in training around recall, exercise etc. As Andy says, it is all about why the dog is barking - excitement or fear - and a good dog behaviourist would look into that and come up with some ideas about retraining. |
