"Other dog owners look at her in horror just for barking"
Why would other dog owners look at you in horror ? After all as dog owners they must surely be used to dogs barking. Is it the way your dog barks ? Dogs can have happy bark, more of a yap where the dog will lay down on it's front legs while standing on the rear ones, tail wagging and ears relaxed. This shows a happy dog wanting to play. But if it's ears are erect with it's hackles raised and looking aggressive, your dog, because of it's size could appear frightening. Most dog owners are not usually scared of other dogs so there must be something she is doing to cause these people concern. Incessant barking snd jumping up can also be the sign of a poorly trained fog Perhaps you should invest in some classes for your dog to properly socialise it.There is no reason why you should not keep a Husky in town, as long as it is properly exerised However, unless you are in a fenced in area suitable for exercising dogs, you should always keep your dog on a lead |
