| As I said in the post on this thread earlier, Tony, definitely, particularly as she seems to understand the requirements laid out by Charlotte. But I have to admit, so rare is it to find someone who has all those and who really loves dogs and shows them real kindness and affection and has a rapport with them that I go for the latter if I am pressed. I have to leave my dog all day in the near future as I have an all day board meeting I have to attend where I can't take him with me - I doubt very much if the person who is looking after my dog for the day has any qualifications or insurance but I know her, she is great with dogs and I know she will keep him on the lead as I have requested her to do. In an ideal world you find someone reasonably priced, available when you want them, fully insured, besotted by dogs, with a lot of common sense, totally trustworthy, etc etc but unfortunately we don't live in an ideal world. |
