| There are always a lot of complaints about Stamp Duty but I've been watching the BBC's Escape to the Continent over the past few weeks. There's always a section where they talk about buying costs and these are higher than here almost everywhere in Europe. In France, for example, you need to set aside 10-15% of the purchase price for various taxes and charges. |
